My grown children love to take vacations. Sometimes I get to go with them and 3 weeks ago, I went to Corsica with Niko and Robin. They have been returning to the same part of the island for several years. But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. They love to ride their bikes up and down the hills of Corsica.  The children real love the kids’ club.  This will be part one of our visit.  If you are planning a trip to Corsica and want to stay where we did, just let me know.

We started off our trip in Marseille.  Niko packed the car and we drove to the car ferry I’m not sure why, but we were one of the last cars to drive onto the ferry boat. We parked the car where they indicated and then walked up 5 flights of stairs. At the check in desk, we were assigned rooms.  I had my own room and Niko and Robin shared with their 2 children. We docked at 7:00 in Propriano. Next was a delicious breakfast; croissants, bread, coffee. After breakfast we decided on a visit to the harbour and then on to see the house that we rented. Actually, we fared well because the owners were adding a pool and felt that we couldn’t stay while there was construction. So the gave us an upgrade in a 4 bedroom modern house.  Terrific. I’ll be back.Great houseAnd an exercise roomDining area.  I love this table!Kitchen with fabulous appliancesPatio and hot tubMy bedroomThe view of Propriano and the poolThe garden

The people who own the property are adorable.  They have 3 rentals, all beautiful, clean, modern with 3 different house sizes and prices. This house is the middle sized one. All of the houses have views.

Propriano is on the south side of Corsica and is very mountainous. Niko and Robin chose it for that reason.  Everyday, they spent several hours on their bikes.  But we also got in some sight seeing. The beaches are lovely and an ideal vacation would be to rent a yacht and visit the beautiful beaches.  We were there in April and it isn’t quite warm enough to swim.

But it was arm enough to eat amazing food.  We had several wonderful meals.
