Every fall, Robin and I take the TGV (fast train) up to Paris for a few days.  Usually Niko and the children come too.  But this year, we decided to do a girl’s bonding trip.  That means an excuse to shop for any men who read this blog.

Since it was November 11th, the exhibit in the Louis Vuitton Foundation museum that I wanted to see was closed.  (More later since I’m going back to Paris this weekend.) Instead we headed to the Galeries Lafayette and Uniqlo to see if there was anything to buy.  Ha.  Of course there is always something to buy.Robin - Time to shop

During the Christmas season, the windows in the Galeries Lafayette and many other stores are decorated.  Here are some photos from the GL themed windows. Le Noel Extra Polaire.  img_0875This year the The Christmas windows opened on November 8th. The theme is the North Pole. A Polar Christmas designed by Audrey Tautou.img_0880Every year the store out does itself with an amazing Christmas tree.  This year’s tree was made out of white paper like in the windows.  Not quite my taste. The tree is the creation of Lorenzo Papace who was born in1986 in Lyon, France.  I did not take the following photo.  I found it on the Galeries Layfayette’s website.Christmas tree at Galeries Layfayette store in ParispolaireAll of the decorations are made by hand out paper.  Amazing!
