Every year the de Young Museum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park puts on Bouquets to Art. Floral designers are invited to design an interpretations of a painting from the de Young’s permanent collections. This event lasts for about 5 days. As a visitor, it is important to go at the beginning of the exhibit since the flowers will die. One of the things that I love about Bouquets to Art is that it allows visitors to see the entire permanent collection.
The San Francisco Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums organizes this yearly event. Proceeds support exhibitions, education, and conservation programs at the de Young and Legion of Honor. This year the exhibit is from April 14-19.
