I found this charming Boutique last year and since then have been back many time. They sell olive oil but they also sell olive oil soap, cosmetic based on olive oil, honey, tapenades, and Camargue salt. Today I stopped in to buy some soap and a few empty 50 cl. bottles for the oil we make on our farm.
The Moulin à huile de Bédarrides has been a working olive mill since the 18th century. The village of Fontveille started off with 9 working olive mills. Bédarrides is the only one remaining from this past era. In 1913 the BELLON family bought the property and in 1923 they also purchased the Moulin de Daudet and save it from being torn down. (Alphonse Daudet wrote Lettres de Mon Moulin, in 1866
