Just before leaving France, my daughter-in-law, Robin, and I went in search of some firewood. About 2 miles away is a farm that also sells wood. While Robin talked to the farmer, Olivier and I enjoyed the animals.
Then I found out that the lambs will be slaughtered in April or May for meat and the chickens and geese are slated for Christmas dinners. I love meat, but I don’t like seeing it walk around.
