This week I am volunteering at the Menlo Charity horse Show at the Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, California. The show sold out in 24 hours with 650 or so horses competing for prizes and money. This is the 42nd year for this show and it raises money for the Vista Center for the Blind. You can get more information about the show, or charity and the sponsors at the top of the link pages.
I wanted to do something different than just words and photos. I have the opportunity to add video and a link to a live feed. I hope you will tune in. Please comment about your experience with this format.
Ok so we are on day 3 of the horse show. A few changes were made today with the live feed and recorded feed LINKs.
One other thing; you can’t get the live feed on your iPhone because of the Apple Flash issue. You can only see the recorded videos. But you can see the live feed on your apple computer if you use a program like Firefox.
Directions: Click on the pink underlined link above and you will go to a site (http://lifestylesforu.com/mchs/) on a page labeled BROADCAST.
Look toward the left side of the page and click on Horse1 or Horse2. These settings will give you another page. Scroll down to the second box “Broadcast Playback” Click here and you be able to see what I recorded. This will change daily or even several times daily. I may record on Horse3 or 4.
The live feeds can be found under the JUMPER Field tab. Click on Jumper1.
Remember that this horse show is in California, which is in Pacific Time. We will be recording between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. On Thursday evening at 6:00 in the Hunter Ring the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby will be held. I will record some of it under the Broadcast tab – Jumper1.
On Friday evenings at 6:00 PM the Speed Jumping will be recorded and you can watch it live under the Jumper field tab (jumper1) while on Saturday evening at 6:00 pm the Grand Prix Jumping will be videoed. I think other things will be recording live during the day.I hope you will enjoy our new experiment. Please leave comments.
