We said good bye and thank you to Barbara at 10:00 AM. There was a taxi waiting by the apartmnt so we got in and headed to the Gare de Lyon.  There we checked the big departure board, bought sandwiches for the journey and a cup of coffee.
We are in car 12, seats 51 & 52.  Uneventful  train ride until 90 minutes later when the train came to a complete stop. First there was no announcement then they said that there had been an accident and we would be delayed for 2 1/2 hours.  But about 20 minutes into this stop the train took off. One train  passed us even though the announcement said that all trains have been stopped.
Now we have slowed down again. Robin is taking pictures of the country side and when I post this later, I will include some foggy looking pictures.

Interestingly enough, we are kind of creeping along do maybe we will get home before 5 or 6:00 tonight.
Right now it is 1:00 in the afternoon. Originally we were scheduled to get in at 2:00.
SO finally with 1/12 hours of delay, we reached Aix-en-provence.  It is about 3:30 PM.
I never saw any accidents or problems so I am not really sure what happened.  But my son, Niko, picked us up and brought us home.  Here are today’s pictures.
Did I mention that we brought lunch onto the train.  It is usually a tiny bit cheaper to buy at the train station.  This time we found ham and cheese sandwiches that they grilled.  Really very tasty.
Robin found a sandwich with goat cheese and sun dried tomato and a pasta salad.
Our short trip to Paris was great fun.  Thank you Barbara and Rene!!
